Laboratory Manager – Microbiology & Chemistry

A leading industrial company is looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our lab team and ensure the highest professional standards, quality of testing processes, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily lab operations, including planning, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
• Train, mentor, and certify new employees; conduct feedback sessions and support professional development.
• Expertise in microbiological and chemical testing methods, including results analysis and trend monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ISO and relevant industry standards.
• Manage lab budget, procurement of equipment and materials, and resource planning.
• Oversee sensory testing in the plant, including taste tests and sensory quality control.
• Handle customer and consumer complaints, analyze trends, and derive actionable insights.
• Supervise release of test results and approval of analyses.
• Monitor adherence to company-wide sampling programs.
• Responsible for calibration of measurement and testing equipment.
• Support lab staff and process control team as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a relevant field – mandatory.
• Proven experience in a similar role – mandatory.
• Full proficiency in Office applications, familiarity with SAP – advantage.
• Strong leadership and management skills, analytical thinking, excellent interpersonal skills, professional curiosity, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
