Redis is looking for a Devops Team Lead to join our R&D department in Tel-Aviv.

As a Team Lead for Redis R&D, you will play a critical role recruiting, motivating, teaching, and leading Infra DevOps Engineers.

You will be part of our cloud group, creating and supporting the entire development and deployment process of the fastest NoSQL clusters on earth, running many hundreds of clusters on top of all major public and private cloud infrastructures.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of infra DevOps developers working on a large scale, distributed cloud system.
• Lead, prioritize and design new features and enhancements with an emphasis on clean and highly efficient code
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Architects, and other R&D teams
• Drive the technology roadmap and timeline
• Work closely with the Redis R&D and Cloud Operations team to design, build and maintain the tools that make their job easier.
  
  

What will you need to have?

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• 7 + years of coding experience in high level languages
• 3 + years of management experience leading technical teams
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with Kubernetes, micro services and ecosystem (Helm, kustomize, Istio, CSI, GKE, EKS…)
• Experience using CI/CD (Jenkins, Flux, ArgoCD)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CrossPlane) and configuration management
• Self-direction, ambition and an eagerness to learn new things
  
  

Extra Great If You Have

• Experience with configuration as code (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet….).
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience with cloud based solutions at the architectural understanding level.
• Have participated in an end-to-end big data and/or large scale performance challenge.
