Security Architect

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Security Architect – Infrastructure for a leading financial organization in Central Israel.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to design and implement advanced security solutions for IT and cloud infrastructures (On-Prem, Hybrid, Multi-Cloud). The role includes risk assessment, defining controls and standards, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and embedding security across all stages of infrastructure and system design. The architect will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams, lead strategic projects with a Security by Design approach, and stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security architecture for IT and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Conduct risk assessments, define security controls, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain high-level design and architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, network, and system teams to integrate security controls.
• Lead security reviews and provide guidance during project lifecycles.
• Analyze and investigate cyber incidents and recommend mitigation measures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, including at least 3 years in infrastructure security architecture.
• Strong technical expertise in network security, operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with FW, WAF, IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, NAC, EDR/XDR.
• Proven experience in vulnerability analysis, risk assessments, and defining hardening controls.
• Ability to produce professional security design and architecture documentation.
• Deep understanding of network and communication protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, TLS).
