Junior GenAI Developer

ActiveFence is hiring a motivated, detail-oriented GenAI developer for a junior role. This is your chance to contribute to cutting-edge developments in GenAI and help improve the safety and integrity of generative AI systems used around the world.

In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain AI-based solutions that impact the safety and reliability of foundation models and AI-agents. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - research, engineering, product, and policy, to identify and solve high-stakes problems in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Generative AI Expertise: Solid understanding of GenAI concepts; practical experience developing LLM-integrated services and building agentic components; strong prompt engineering skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python: Experience for data science and machine learning, including hands-on familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and LangChain. Able to work in complex codebases and quick to learn new tools, libraries, and paradigms as needed.
• Strong English Skills: Able to clearly communicate ideas in both written and spoken English, including technical topics.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Content Moderation: Understanding of online safety and security challenges, harmful content detection, and moderation systems.
• Engineering Skills: Experience with data handling, cloud platforms, integrating APIs, and building robust, error-tolerant systems.
• End-to-end AI solution development: scoping, data pipelines, model implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
