Android Developer

Our smART+™ platform is a sensor-based feeding system for intensive care unit (ICU) patients. It aims to prevent life-threatening complications such as ventilator-associated pneumonia, malnutrition, and acute kidney injury. We recently introduced Nutrition Management 2.0™, which is a comprehensive, guideline-driven approach that aims to improve nutrition while reducing feeding complications. Combined with our smART+™ platform, it monitors, analyzes, and prevents malnutrition and gastric aspirations in real time. By improving nutrition and achieving 100% feeding efficiency, the smART+™ platform greatly reduces hospital-acquired complications and speeds up ICU patient recovery.

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team. Your primary focus will be to develop, design, and maintain new and existing applications. You will be responsible for ensuring that our applications are up to date and user friendly.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with our team of developers to design and develop high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications, delivering a seamless user experience that meets and exceeds our customers' expectations.
• Maintain an automated testing suite as part of development.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and fix bugs in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the smooth operation of our applications.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and best practices to stay at the forefront of mobile application development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that enhance our applications and provide value to our users.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• +4 years of continuous experience as an Android Developer, with a proven track record of designing and developing high-quality mobile applications (Java/Kotlin).
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with performance tuning, with a deep understanding of what it takes to create fast, responsive applications.
• Proficient in Java or Kotlin programming languages, with a passion for coding and an eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions to challenging problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Web development experience (react) - Big advantage.
