Vice President of Product & Technology for a leading scaled up Agro-Tech startup

Role Objective:

Responsible for leading all scientific, technological, and regulatory aspects of the company, ensuring that the technological strategy supports the company’s business vision. The role combines deep scientific leadership, management of multidisciplinary teams, and close collaboration with strategic partners, regulators, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulating and leading the company’s overall technological strategy in collaboration with the CTO
• Full responsibility for scale-up processes, validation, and field trials
• Managing scientific relations with industrial partners, research institutions, and regulators (EPA, EFSA, and others)
• Working closely with the CTO, CEO, and Board of Directors to define technological and strategic milestones
• Active participation in investor presentations and supporting fundraising processes

Position Requirements:

• PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, agriculture, or another relevant scientific field
• Proven experience of 8+ years in developing biological or biocontrol products (biopesticides/biocontrol)
• Proven experience bringing a biological product to market
• Managerial experience leading R&D teams and working with manufacturing and regulatory interfaces
• Deep understanding of regulatory processes for biological products (EPA/EFSA)
• Experience building collaborations with global corporations or multinational companies
• Strategic thinking, scientific initiative, and the ability to drive progress in a dynamic environment
• Excellent command of English — spoken, written, and scientific writing
