Senior Data Scientist

LayerX is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative AI team. In this role, you will design and develop advanced machine-learning models and AI-driven solutions to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges. You will be responsible for creating and deploying cutting-edge technologies, such as LLMs and anomaly detection systems while ensuring seamless integration into our scalable, cloud-native architecture. As a key contributor, you will directly impact the security of millions of web browsers across dozens of enterprise customers, driving measurable value and aligning your work with LayerX’s strategic goals.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to enhance browser security and threat detection capabilities.
• Build scalable pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, and model deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for AI solutions, integrating them seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
• Apply advanced machine learning techniques such as anomaly detection, NLP, and LLMs to solve cybersecurity challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing security workflows.
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance using real-world data.

• 6+ years of overall professional experience, including: At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML development with a focus on production-level systems and at least 3 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, and expertise in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), including fine-tuning and deploying LLMs for real-world applications.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and web-based security threats.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  
  

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
• Familiarity with LangChain Suite
• Familiarity with TypeScript
• Experience in deploying and maintaining models in production using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
