As we expand our global reach, we’re seeking a Regional Marketing Lead to enhance our global voice — not just through translation, but also through cultural adaptation, partnerships, and storytelling that resonate in every market we serve.
The Role
As Regional Marketing Lead, you’ll lead a function that blends language strategy, cultural adaptability, and global network building.
You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a localization vision that makes ExpressVPN’s products, campaigns, and brand communications feel truly native in every region — through the right mix of in-language content, local agencies, influencers, and affiliate partners.
You’ll collaborate across Product, Marketing, and Content teams to ensure that every customer, in every market, feels that ExpressVPN was made for them.
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead a global ecosystem of localization and content partners, including translation agencies, creative agencies, influencers, and affiliates, to deliver authentic, market-ready content.
- Develop a regionalized content strategy that adapts ExpressVPN’s brand story for different markets and cultures.
- Identify and manage trusted in-market creators and agencies who can localize, transcreate, and promote content with cultural fluency.
- Partner with the Affiliate and Influencer Marketing teams to localize creator campaigns and partnerships.
- Ensure brand voice, tone, and values are consistently represented across all languages and regions.
- Define and measure KPIs for localization speed, quality, and impact.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure internationalization and local user experience are embedded in product releases.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing to adapt messaging, campaigns, and assets for cultural relevance.
- Monitor and report on localization performance metrics (e.g., engagement, conversion, retention by language).
- Stay ahead of emerging localization, AI translation, and cultural marketing trends.
- Build internal awareness and appreciation of the power of localization to drive brand growth.
- 8+ years of experience in localization, international marketing, or global content strategy.
- Proven success in building and managing global agency networks and localization vendors.
- Strong existing contacts across global creative agencies, localization partners, influencers, and affiliates.
- Experience leading localization for a consumer-facing SaaS or digital product (experience with driving localization for VPN brands is a big plus, but not mandatory)
- Deep understanding of localization technology and global content operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across time zones and cultures.
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach — able to move from vision to execution quickly.
- Passion for privacy, technology, and connecting with audiences around the world through authentic, local voices.
- At the moment, we do not sponsor visas in the EU. For Hong Kong, we require at least two years of working experience and a university degree in a related field. For Singapore and the UK, we can only sponsor visas for mid-career or above.
