Research Associate - Job Description (Temporary Position)

About the Company: 1E Therapeutics is a drug development company creating first-in-class RNA-targeting therapeutics based on a proprietary drug discovery platform.

1E's groundbreaking process is uniquely able to identify innovative candidates that address chronic life-threatening indications. 1E already has compounds that address a wide array of indications in multiple therapeutic areas. We are looking for spirited researchers who will be highly engaged in the company's mission to develop novel RNA therapeutics for major unmet medical needs.

Position Summary: We are looking for highly motivated, focused, and energetic researcher seeking experience in a young, dynamic startup environment. The person will be responsible for supporting the activities of drug discovery through pre-clinical studies to the filing of INDs.

The position is temporary.

Responsibilities:

• Support and execute formulation and encapsulation processes (e.g., LNPs, Liposomes).
• Perform material sampling, sample preparation for testing, and analyses using wet chemistry techniques.
• Perform routine analysis of samples using HPLC-MS for quality control.
• Prepare and process samples for various analytical and biological assays.
• Perform precise and thorough documentation of all experimental procedures and results in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
• Assist in data analysis and the preparation of summary reports for team review.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams and follow project timelines.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
• Highly organized, thorough, diligent, and with strong attention to detail.
• Hands-on laboratory experience from academic studies or industry is an advantage.
• A proactive and energetic individual with an eagerness to learn new techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility in working hours is required.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, MS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) is an advantage.
