About this role:

The AI Imaging Platform team, a central part of the R&D department at Aidoc, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to take part in leading Aidoc’s production imaging platform, handling tens of medical algorithms and data from thousands of medical centers.

The ideal candidate will have strong backend development capabilities, with a deep understanding of designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, architecture skills and strong product production management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain the AI inference cloud pipeline in production, serving Aidoc’s medical custoers.
• Automate releases with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
• Optimise latency and uptime to ensure a highly reliable system to our medical customers.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient code while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and knowledge sharing.
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data analysts, data scientists, regulatory teams, and other developers, to drive the development.
  
  

• Deep understanding of software engineering practices and patterns in at least one engineering language (preferably Python, but can be Java/Node/etc)
• 10+ years building backend systems in the cloud and leading complex software engineering projects.
• Experience in database management, and understanding of database trade-offs..
• Proficiency in modern CI/CD tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, Cloudformation, etc.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, containerization.
• Ability to take full product ownership from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and a customer-oriented mindset. Clear English communication is required.
