As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the NVIDIA R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create and optimize advanced optical assembly procedures and recipes.
- Work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including machine vendors, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
- Develop, customize, and qualify complex automated assembly systems.
- Establish new assembly methodologies using novel equipment and processes.
- Lead process failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and execute Process Transfer packages for high-volume manufacturing and support production ramp-up.
- Lead projects from concept to implementation and qualification, managing schedules, priorities, and team coordination.
- Ensure methodical, data-driven, and well-documented execution throughout all stages of the project.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Material Science and engineering/Opto-Mechanical engineering/Physics/Mechanical engineering/Electrical engineering
- 5+ years experience in R&D department or process engineering in the semiconductor, optics, or PCB industry.
- High capability and understanding of machine software and recipes as well as process integration.
- Self-managed, initiative and innovative.
- Superior problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Teamwork player as well as a sole worker.
- Strong attention to details.
- High level of written and verbal communication in Hebrew and English.
- Traveling abroad with frequency of one week in a quarter.
- Previous experience in R&D teams in semiconductor or optical communication industries.
- Proven experience and deep knowledge in precise assembly machines
- Good understanding and/or modeling skills of optical devices and phenomena (Zemax or equivalent SW tools).
- Programming skills
