Firmware Engineer

We are looking for an Firmware System Engineer to develop and deliver robust, secure, and high-quality firmware solutions for NVIDIA’s next-generation product lines. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, product management, and architecture to enable the bring-up of cutting-edge NVIDIA networking and AI platforms and silicon. Your work will be key in ensuring a seamless, safe, and efficient firmware release process from development to mass production. The dynamic and fast-paced work environment will require you to excel in problem-solving and system-level debugging, all while fostering collaboration among exceptional engineers across NVIDIA's global sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Identify, diagnose, and addressing high-value problems during the product onboarding process, such as software compatibility, PCIe, security, network interoperability and communication issues between components
• Verify that all integrated components interact as intended. This includes functional testing to ensure software components work correctly on various hardware testing platforms
• Validate firmware features at hardware power-on stage
• Bridge between software, architecture, HW and production engineering teams
  
  

• BS.c in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of relevant experience and/or knowledge
• Strong system-level understanding and hands-on lab experience
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, including written and verbal communication in English
  
  

• Knowledge in SW-HW interfaces, PCIe, memory subsystems, storage components, network applications, device drivers and real-time software
• Programming knowledge in Python/C/C++ or Perl
• Deep understanding of computing architectures, hardware systems block diagrams and schematic sheets understanding
• Previous roles in system validation positions or technical lead
