The Commercial Marketplace Experience (CMX) team is responsible for Azure Marketplace, targeting developers and IT professionals, as well as Microsoft AppSource, for business applications. Marketplace is the business engine that enables customers to seamlessly discover, try and buy every cloud solution that matters. Working with a network of thousands of partners around the world, hundreds of thousands of listings such as cloud building blocks, software products, and industry solutions. The Cloud Marketplace is driving Microsoft’s business across Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our front-end development team, responsible for building and enhancing the commercial marketplace storefront experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure software solutions for Azure Marketplace.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Identify and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure we are always using the best techniques and tools.
• Participate in code reviews, learn from and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering
• 2+ years of proven hands-on experience building web applications using React.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Vue.
• 2+ years experience web fundamentals, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with hands-on experience working with TypeScript in modern front-end development.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of proven hands-on technical skills working on large scale production systems
• 1+ years experienced in cloud programming environments, using modern architecture
• Understanding of testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience in FE components design and re-use concepts.
  
  

Ability To Meet Microsoft, Customer And/or Government Security Screening Requirements Are Required For This Role. These Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following Specialized Security Screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
