System Technician

Role Overview

As a LiDAR System Technician, you’ll be the hands-on backbone of the system engineering team. You’ll design and build test setups, execute experiments, collect and analyze measurement data, and help drive continuous improvement across our sensor platforms. This is a demanding yet highly rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a lab environment and takes ownership of end-to-end testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lab Testing & Instrumentation
• Set up and operate oscilloscopes, ampere meters, power supplies and other test gear
• Develop and maintain custom test setups for LiDAR modules
• Data Acquisition & Analysis
• Write scripts in Python or MATLAB to automate data capture, processing and visualization
• Experiment Execution
• Plan and conduct characterization experiments under varying environmental conditions
• Document procedures, results and deviations in detailed lab reports
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with system engineers, optics experts and firmware teams to troubleshoot issues
• Provide feedback on design for testability and manufacturability

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, ammeters, power meters, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting for data acquisition and analysis using Python and/or MATLAB
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with laser systems, optics or RF
• Exposure to automotive-grade sensor development or semiconductor laser characterization
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and lab-automation frameworks
