We are searching for a Data Engineer - Nykredit

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland and you will join a team our Finance Technology department called Finance Data & Insights. The team is responsible for several data marts supporting internal and external financial reporting for Nykredit Group Finance. The team plays a vital part in ensuring timely and accurate reporting for the Danish Authorities as well as ensuring reliable internal reporting for our Senior Executives and their decision-making.

The Data Engineer position offers the possibility to engage in a large project redefining the reporting foundation for financial data. Nykredit is currently implementing a new bookkeeping solution. As part of the project deliverables, the project will establish a Financial Data Mart on Nykredit’s new data platform using Ab Initio tooling and Data Vault 2.0 principles. The team consists of 7 employees coming from Poland and Denmark who work as Data Engineers and Data Analysts. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Christine Rottbøll.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

• Participating in projects as an ETL Developer/ Data Engineer (80% of the time)
• Maintain and adjust existing Data Mart solutions on the old Data Platform using Informatica as the primary tool (10% of the time). This includes handling incidents and communicating to business stakeholders
• Other tasks connected with the role. (10% of the time)
• Close collaboration with Data Analysts
• Expect traveling to Denmark 1-2 times a year
  
  

• Advanced SQL knowledge (Oracle preferred)
• Experience in creating ETL solutions
• Extensive experience with ETL tools (preferred Ab Initio and Informatica PowerCenter)
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others
• Excellent communication skills
  
  

• An educational background (university degree) related to the position (Computer Technology/Mathematics/Physics/Finance/Banking)
• Worked with Data Vault concept
• Experience in data modelling technologies
• Knowledge about Azure cloud, Informatica IDMC, Databricks or/and Python
• Experience within the financial sector
