Field Testing & Operations Technician

One of our clients, an innovative robotics startup developing autonomous façade maintenance systems, is seeking a Field Testing & Operations Technician to join the Operations department.

This is a hands-on, field-based position combining manual testing of robots with operational responsibilities in dynamic real-world environments (test sites, high-rise buildings, and customer locations). The role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and take part in the development and deployment of cutting-edge robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of robotic systems in the field and lab environments
• Identify, document, and report hardware, software, and mechanical issues
• Support installation, calibration, and on-site operation of robotic systems
• Conduct data collection, functional validation, and performance checks
• Collaborate with R&D, electronics, and operations teams to improve system reliability
• Assist with field logistics, setup, and operational coordination

Requirements

• Technical or engineering background (military or civilian)
• Experience in manual QA or testing of hardware/electromechanical systems – advantage
• Strong hands-on skills, precision, and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors and handle field conditions
• Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Good technical English (reading and writing)

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, drones, or autonomous systems
• Familiarity with sensors, control systems, or mechanical assembly
• Familiarity with writing scripts in Python/bash

Location

• Based in Tel Aviv – fieldwork required at test and customer sites
