Analytical Chemist - LC-MS Metabolomics

🧪 Position: Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation Specialist

Metabolomics and Drug Development Research Unit – Tel Aviv University

We are seeking a responsible, well-organized, and technically skilled individual to operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments (GC-MS, LC-MS).

This position involves full responsibility for instrument management, laboratory organization, method development, and analytical support for ongoing research.

🔧 Main Responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain GC-MS and LC-MS instruments
• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods
• Manage laboratory organization, documentation, and inventory
• Train and support students and researchers in analytical workflows
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; coordinate with service providers

🎓 Requirements

• Academic degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven hands-on experience with LC-MS and/or GC-MS instrumentation (LC-MS experience is essential; GC-MS experience is an advantage).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
• Technical aptitude, responsibility, and capacity for independent learning
