Data Engineer Team Leader

🎗️🎗️A successful global tech company with a large-scale data platform is looking for an experienced Data Engineer TL to lead a core data infrastructure team.

The company operates in a highly data-driven environment, processing massive real-time data streams and developing advanced, ML-powered analytics systems that impact millions of users worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and mentor a global team of skilled data engineers, driving the development of large-scale, high-performance data systems.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature development — from architecture and design to deployment in production
• Build and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions for real-time and batch processing
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Product, and business stakeholders on cross-functional projects
• Research and integrate new technologies to improve scalability, reliability, and performance

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams
• 6+ years of experience as a backend/data engineer, tech lead, or architect
• Strong programming skills in Python / Java / Scala / Go (at least one is a must)
• Proven experience with distributed systems, streaming applications, or cluster technologies
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Excellent communication skills in English and a proactive, collaborative approach

Advantage:

• Experience with Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Flink), Vertica / Redis / Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
