System Architect

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring an experienced Systems Architect to join a leading enterprise organization in the North District.

Position Overview

This is a senior-level position responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale IT infrastructure projects. The role includes defining and engineering comprehensive IT solutions — covering computing, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and disaster recovery (DR) — from the requirements stage to full system architecture documentation and deployment.

As part of the organization’s technology leadership, you will work with multiple cross-functional teams, lead strategic initiatives, and shape the enterprise IT vision toward innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and lead complex IT infrastructure projects across computing, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and DR domains.
• Develop detailed system and architecture documentation (HLD, LLD, and related engineering documents).
• Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of systemic IT and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with diverse technology teams and external partners to ensure cohesive implementation.
• Drive technological innovation and enterprise-level IT strategy.
• Act as a key technical advisor and thought leader in architecture and system design.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a System Engineer or IT Architect in an enterprise-scale organization
• Proven expertise in system engineering and IT architecture for large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
• Strong experience writing technical and architectural documentation (HLD, LLD, etc.)
• Deep technological knowledge and hands-on experience with computing infrastructures, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and DR
• Solid understanding of storage systems, operating systems, virtualization, Big Data, and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience in defense or technology units (military background) — advantage.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
