Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our mechanical team at Uvision.

Job Description:

• Create and maintain manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) in coordination with Configuration Control and Production Planning (PPC).
• Handle product freeze processes and related documentation.
• Manage drawing and model revisions and corrections.
• Execute and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with Configuration Control.
• Participate in CCB (Change Control Board) meetings and represent team requirements.
• Issue REWORK instructions for parts following ECO implementation.
• Provide engineering support for production, including assembly instructions and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
• Support Configuration Control activities across the organization.

Requirements:

• Practical Engineer in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) – mandatory.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks – mandatory.
• Proven experience in creating manufacturing drawings – mandatory.
• Hands-on experience – mandatory.
• Experience with Priority ERP and Autodesk Vault – an advantage.
• Knowledge of SolidCAM – an advantage.
• Experience working with composite materials – mandatory.
• Experience with plastic injection molding – an advantage.
• Experience with machining (CNC / metal processing) – mandatory.
• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) – an advantage.
