Full Stack Engineer - Founding Team

One of my clients – an early-stage technology startup (AI / Data Infrastructure) – is looking to hire its first software engineer, who will work closely with the founding team.

About the company

The company is developing an innovative Consistency Monitoring platform designed to ensure the reliability and stability of critical AI/ML-based services over time.

In a world where intelligent models degrade due to Data Drift, Concept Drift, or business changes, the system adds a real-time protection layer that detects deviations in business behavior before they cause customer impact or regulatory risk.

Unlike existing solutions that focus solely on model performance, the company’s platform focuses on the stability of the overall service, using a proprietary technology that creates Stability Signatures, digital fingerprints of business behavior patterns, enabling early anomaly detection through advanced ML techniques.

While the platform is currently being implemented mainly in financial institutions (banks, credit companies, and insurance providers), it is a horizontal technology product – not a financial product – that can be applied to any industry operating critical AI-based services, including healthcare, cybersecurity, insurance, retail, and industrial applications.

About the role – Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Focus)

The company is in its very early stages, and the technology stack has not yet been finalized.

As the first engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the foundational architecture and choose the technologies that will power the platform’s future.

This is a hands-on Individual Contributor (IC) role in the beginning, with a clear growth path into a future leadership position as the company and team expand.

Responsibilities

• Develop Backend services and APIs for the Consistency Monitoring platform.
• Build a scalable and secure microservices architecture from the ground up.
• Develop simple frontend interfaces for customer interaction (though this is not the main focus of the role).
• Work closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to integrate models into production.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features — from design to deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Backend development using modern programming languages (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, C#, or similar).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Advantage: familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and/or experience working with Data/AI systems.
• A genuine passion for building from scratch in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
