Automation Infrastructure TL

Line of Business within Priority Software building hospitality products serving properties worldwide. We’re establishing a dedicated Automation Infrastructure team to build the foundation for quality automation at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead our newly formed 3-person automation infrastructure team. Build frameworks, tools, and practices that enable quality automation across all products. This is a hands-on technical leader role (60%+ coding) where you’ll code alongside your team while establishing team structure and processes from scratch.
• You’ll Own: - Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow 3 automation engineers; establish team charter and ways of working; manage remote/hybrid team dynamics
• Framework & Tools - Build/maintain automation frameworks; create reusable test libraries; select and implement testing tools; integrate with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-On Development (60%+) - Write E2E tests across products (web, API, Windows desktop); develop test frameworks for squad QAs; build stability/stress/performance testing tools
• Infrastructure - Create test environment infrastructure; implement test data management; build Windows automation (PowerShell); work with AWS infrastructure
• AI-Driven Innovation - Champion AI testing approaches; leverage AI tools/workflows (agents, MCP, MD-based workflows); experiment with AI-powered test automation; optimize productivity with AI assistants
• Collaboration - Partner with Head of Quality and Delivery on strategy execution; work with R&D Team Leads; enable squad-based QA automation engineers

Requirements:

• 5+ years hands-on test automation and framework development
• 3+ years team leadership or technical leadership experience
• Expert in Playwright (most important framework) - Strong programming: JavaScript, Python
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• API testing tools and frameworks expertise
• Performance/load testing infrastructure experience
• AWS cloud infrastructure knowledge
• CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Windows automation including PowerShell scripting
• Remote/distributed team management experience
• Hands-on mentoring of junior/mid-level engineers

AI-Driven (Critical):

• Passionate about AI-driven testing approaches
• Experience with AI tools for automation/code generation/workflow optimization
• Knowledge of AI agents, MCP, workflow automation (MD/YAML files)
• Bonus: AI-powered test platforms (Testim, Mabl, Applitools)

Nice-to-Haves:

• C# programming for Windows desktop automation
• React/Angular experience
• Product company background (SaaS preferred)
• Hospitality tech experience (advantage)
• Test data management and synthetic data generation
