Security Operations Specialist

Role Overview:

• Act as the organizational focal point for security-related matters.
• Handle ongoing security requests such as granting access permissions, investigating phishing incidents, releasing emails, installing approved software, and more.
• Investigate daily alerts from organizational security tools, including suspicious user activities and endpoint anomalies.
• Manage risk reduction programs across organizational assets in collaboration with technical teams.
• Oversee architectural and application-level monitoring of cybersecurity system configurations (e.g., AD, Firewalls) and provide remediation guidelines.
• Lead implementation of infrastructure improvement recommendations, including cloud environments.
• Produce monthly security metrics and reports from defense tools.
• Approve and manage policy exceptions across all organizational cybersecurity tools.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a large enterprise or IT services company.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Firewalls, DLP, XDR (advantage).
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture (networking, servers, security, etc.).
• Ability to investigate security incidents, including email release requests and DLP exceptions.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills for architectural documents and implementation guidelines.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure – advantage.
