Senior Economist

Senior Economist – Research Unit - Trading, Derivatives & Indices Department | Tel Aviv Stock Exchange

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Economist to join our Research Unit. In this role, you will lead research and data activities related to the capital market and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, supporting strategic organizational decisions and professional projects across the department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and data analysis on capital market and stock exchange activity.
• Monitor local and global economic developments on a daily basis.
• Collect, structure, and analyze statistical data for internal and external use.
• Produce research papers, articles, and market trend analyses.
• Prepare periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual).
• Lead and participate in professional research and departmental projects.
• Provide research and analytical support to various departments in the organization.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field – required.
• Master’s degree – advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis or capital market research.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical capabilities: ability to identify trends and translate insights into high-quality written outputs.
• Deep understanding of capital markets and stock exchange operations; experience with trading and data systems.
• Experience with statistical analysis software – advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced presentation skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours when required.
