Senior ETL Developer (Informatica)

Role Purpose

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes in a DWH/BI environment, using Informatica to ingest data from various source systems, improve performance, and ensure end-to-end data quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ETL/ELT processes in Informatica (pipelines, workflows, mappings).
• Analyze business and technical requirements, define data integration solutions, and design data flows.
• Collaborate with DBAs, Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Product Managers to define data models and requirements.
• Performance optimization: query tuning, partitioning/parallelism, job tuning, and workload management.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis, monitoring, and production support.
• Ensure data quality, manage logs and controls, maintain documentation and data lineage according to procedures.
• Work in CI/CD and version control environments (e.g., Git) and apply development best practices.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing ETL in DWH/BI environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica (PowerCenter and/or IICS, depending on the environment).
• Advanced SQL, with experience in relational databases (commonly Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
• Deep understanding of DWH principles (modeling, fact/dimension, SCD, incremental loads).
• Experience working with diverse source systems (API/files/DB), including common file formats (CSV/JSON/XML).
• Ability to work independently, high ownership, and excellent interpersonal communication across multiple stakeholders.

Significant Advantages

• Experience with Informatica IICS/Cloud and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with scheduling/orchestration tools (Control-M / Airflow).
• Experience writing PL/SQL or T-SQL, stored procedures, and advanced performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data governance, catalogs, and data quality standards.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.
