Data Engineer

Our Data Engineering team plays a critical role in shaping the infrastructure and pipelines that power decision-making across our mobile gaming ecosystem, from gameplay mechanics and monetization to live operations and growth.

We are looking for a Data Engineer who thrives in complex, high-scale environments and enjoys building reliable, efficient data foundations. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, analytics, and business impact – owning data flows end-to-end and enabling teams to trust, explore, and act on data with confidence.

Duties and Responsibilities

The scale and complexity of our mobile gaming environment create meaningful engineering challenges for data-driven teams.

As a Data Engineer at PLAYSTUDIOS, you will take ownership of data pipelines, infrastructure, and core metrics that support both real-time and analytical use cases.

Specifically, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines across multiple data sources
• Own data flows from ingestion to storage, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Business teams to support analytics and experimentation
• Develop and optimize SQL-based data models to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analysis
• Analyze complex datasets to help answer high-impact business and product questions

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Python (industry, studies or military background)
• 2+ years of experience writing complex and optimized SQL queries
• Experience designing and working with data lakes and data warehouses
• Familiarity with AWS technologies such as EMR, EC2, S3, and related services
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Mode Analytics, and Looker
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and findings in clear, accessible language
• Experience with Airflow - advantage
• Strong problem-solving mindset with curiosity and attention to detail
• Passion for mobile games and a truly data-driven approach
• Good command of written and spoken English

This is a hybrid role based in our Tel Aviv office, with three on-site workdays per week.
