Job Description:

One of Israel’s leading communications and technology groups is recruiting a Senior Storage Specialist with deep expertise in NetApp-based storage systems and hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and upgrading advanced storage environments.

The role includes end-to-end responsibility for planning, managing, operating, and maintaining the organization’s storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, resilience, and information security. This is a strategic position within the infrastructure team, involving close collaboration with System, Network, DBA, Information Security, and Development teams, and leading cross-organization technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, operate, and maintain NetApp ONTAP storage systems and NAS, SAN, and iSCSI environments.
• Design and deploy new storage arrays according to business needs and strategic organizational projects.
• Perform advanced configuration of NetApp systems: setting up Aggregates, Volumes, SnapMirror, SnapVault, LUNs, QoS Policies, and more.
• Ongoing performance monitoring and improving response times.
• Handle complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide Tier 3 support for critical system problems.
• Integrate with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, and more.
• Manage backup and restore processes, leveraging Snapshot and Replication solutions.
• Work closely with vendors, manufacturers, and IT teams to ensure maximum availability (High Availability) and compliance with organizational SLAs.
• Write procedures, maintain configuration documentation, and train technical team members.
• Participate in designing new architectures, including evaluating advanced storage technologies in hybrid and cloud environments (Hybrid & Cloud Storage).

Professional Experience:

• At least 5 years of proven experience working with NetApp (ONTAP) storage systems in large organizations or mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex storage infrastructures, including configuration and ongoing maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS/SMB.
• Experience working with VMware, virtual servers, and clustered environments.
• Scripting experience for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python) is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with backup solutions such as Commvault, Veeam, and SnapCenter is an advantage.
• Experience managing complex technology projects in an Enterprise environment.
