Head of Accounting

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Controller Lead to manage a financial team of 3–5 professionals, both in Israel and abroad, and to oversee complex, large-scale financial operations for a group of international companies across multiple sectors - including technology, real estate, investments, and more.

This role offers rare exposure to global financial operations, hands-on work across multiple markets simultaneously, and a significant professional challenge for candidates seeking to deepen their expertise in international financial management.

The ideal candidate will act as an umbrella financial manager across all group companies, overseeing controllership, accounting, compliance, international bank account setup, and regulatory frameworks such as US GAAP and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a finance team in Israel and abroad, including remote team members
• Advanced use of Google Sheets and Excel, including complex formulas and automation
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
• Support the financial operations of multiple business units and international entities
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Optimize cash flow management and financial controls
• Implement best practices in internal reporting and financial controls
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements across financial processes
• Manage regulatory and compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Handle international bank account openings and ongoing legal/financial maintenance in various countries

Requirements

• Experience in international companies; fintech/gaming/forex or complex global environments - mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - mandatory
• Background in Big 4, followed by 2–5 years of experience in financial controlling roles within international companies
• Proven experience managing a team of 3–5 employees, including remote teams
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and international regulations (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High-level English proficiency - approximately 70% of daily communication
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Goal-oriented mindset with strong prioritization and process leadership skills
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including formula writing and automation
