Head of Wind Tunnel Department | Lod, Central District | Aerospace Division | Israel Aerospace Industries

We are looking for a Head of Wind Tunnel Department to join the Engineering & Development Center in IAI’s Aerospace Division. This role involves managing Israel’s national wind tunnel facility, specializing in the planning and execution of advanced aerodynamic experiments.

The position includes:

• Managing the wind tunnel domain, with responsibility for planning and conducting aerodynamic experiments
• Operating and ensuring the proper functionality of the national test facility
• Leading, supervising, and providing engineering guidance to the test team
• Acting as a key figure in shaping concepts for new test projects and executing them
• Leading multiple projects, including infrastructure development and work plan management
• Managing interfaces with customers and participating in proposal preparation

What we are looking for:

Mandatory Requirements-

• Israeli citizenship – required
• B.Sc. in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering – required
• At least 3 years of experience in planning and/or executing aerodynamic
• experiments – required

Preferred Qualifications-

• Experience leading and guiding engineering teams – advantage
• Experience preparing work plans, budgets, and schedules – advantage
• 3 years of experience as a senior test engineer – advantage
• Business acumen and negotiation experience with customers – advantage
• M.Sc. – advantage
