Software Engineering Team Lead

What Will You Do:

• Lead and manage a Backend team, including professional leadership, mentoring, and career development of Backend engineers
• Own the technical standards, best practices, and architectural direction of Backend development across multiple teams
• Drive the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems, based on Microservices and Event-Driven architectures
• Work closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and other Engineering leaders to align business needs with technical solutions
• Take part in hands-on technical decision making, design reviews, and complex problem solving in production environments
• Ensure high engineering quality through code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD processes, and operational excellence
• Lead initiatives around performance, scalability, reliability, and security of backend services

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development and coding, including hands-on work with Spring Framework and Java Spring Boot.
• Experience in Backend development, including technical leadership or team leadership responsibilities
• Proven experience in developing RESTful services, including designing, consuming, and exposing REST APIs and working with Swagger / OpenAPI
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture and development
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s).
• Experience working with SQL Server and NOSQL server databases.
• Experience with AWS – an advantage
• Experience in managing a team of developers- a significant advantage
• Highly responsible, independent, well-organized, and service-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills
