TXM are working in partnership with a global leader in the automation and robotics industry. As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you will be working for a global intralogistics business who specialise in the design and development of highly automated solutions that enable customers to meet their logistics & supply chain needs. You will have the opportunity to commission control systems that interface with state-of-the-art machinery.

You will be responsible for completing PLC commissioning and programming on Siemens PLCs for customers distribution/manufacturing warehouses.You will also spend most of the year traveling across Europe and the United States of America.

PLC Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:

• Understanding project requirements to create PLC programs using Siemens that will control automated machinery in warehouses.
• You will spend most of your time working abroad directly on customer sites to complete the installation and commissioning phase of the project.
• Whilst on site, you will support the customer by leading on the testing/configuration stage and providing the necessary training to staff.
• You will be required to communicate internally and externally, working with internal departments at all stages of the project to ensure successful delivery to the customer.

Experience & requirements for the role:

• Programming and commissioning experience of Siemens PLCs
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external project teams
• Ability to speak English with technical conversations as a minimum, being able to speak German is also advantageous
• Hold a valid driver’s licence
• Willing to travel globally
