The Junior Tech Ops Analyst position represents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing and tracking cloud and other hosting-related costs, driving efficiency, and directly contributing to our organization's financial health and operational excellence.

A strong candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills, the ability to work with numbers at scale, professional data analysis skills, attention to detail, dedication to high-quality standards and strong cross-functional collaboration skills with stakeholders in different time zones.

Job Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud infrastructure spend across multiple environments to ensure cost-efficient operations
• Create and maintain dashboards and automated reports to track and communicate cloud usage and cost trends
• Develop financial models to forecast cloud costs, using Google Sheets, BigQuery, SQL, etc
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify inefficiencies, opportunities for optimization, and anomalies and make informed recommendations
• Engage with our internal cost monitoring platform, both technically and operationally, with the ability to understand code
• Collaborate with tech teams to drive cost-optimization initiatives
• Define and implement work procedures with internal stakeholders to improve cloud expense management
• Define, measure, and track KPIs related to hosting efficiency
• Support ongoing projects and cross-functional initiatives according to business needs
  
  

Your Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a Tech Ops, FinOps, Support Analyst, or similar role
• Academic background in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Information Systems or equivalent, with a technical orientation and a sense of excellence
• Strong technical and analytical background (Google Sheets, Excel, Looker)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders in different time zones
• Independent, problem-solver, self-organized and self-learner
• High proficiency with G-Suite or very good ability to learn new suites and technology
• Experience in visualizing and presenting data insights
• Excellent English skills, written and verbal - a must
• Familiarity with cloud computing and budget management - a strong advantage
• Familiarity with SQL and Python - a strong advantage
• Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Monday, etc.) and BI tools (Sisense, Tableau, etc.) - an advantage
