Researcher, Theory Group

We are a young, dynamic, and extraordinarily multidisciplinary company that combines the fields of

quantum physics, optics, mechanical engineering, hardware, firmware, and software.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Researcher to join the Theory Group.

The Theory Group, as its name indicates, is responsible for laying down the theoretical groundwork

for our quantum computing platform. Its tasks range from developing theoretical models of quantum

hardware components to designing quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures.

As a Researcher in the Group, you will work on a variety of extremely challenging problems at the

forefront of quantum computing.

Responsibilities:

Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures tailored to our hardware.

Typical projects may include:

Research on quantum error correction codes

Research and development of decoding algorithms for quantum error correction

Optimization of hardware resources for fault-tolerant components

and more

Build state-of-the-art simulation tools to model and analyze error mechanisms in

quantum systems.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including experimental and theoretical

quantum physicists, engineers, and software developers - to ensure seamless

integration between theory and experiment.

Foster effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.

Stay current with the latest developments in quantum error correction and related fields.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, or alternatively in Mathematics/Computer Science with a

specialization in Quantum Information. A strong publication record is required.

Proven background in Quantum Error Correction, Quantum Information, or Quantum

Algorithms is a strong advantage.

Experience implementing complex algorithms in Python, C++, or other programming

languages is required; experience with numerical simulations of quantum systems is a

strong advantage.

Background in computer science fundamentals (algorithms/data structures, complexity

theory, graph theory) is an advantage.

Ability to learn quickly and master new areas.

Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary

team environment.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, with the flexibility to

adapt to changing priorities and uncertainty.
