Senior Product Manager

Overview

We're a small, super-quick AdTech company building the next wave of programmatic tech. We're on the lookout for a hands-on Senior Product Manager who really knows their stuff when it comes to Ad Servers, DSPs, or real-time bidding systems.

You won't just be managing a roadmap here—you'll be diving in deep to shape technical specs, working side-by-side with engineers daily, and making key product calls right down to the architectural level. You’ll be the one helping us supercharge our ad delivery, sharpen our auction logic, and boost our programmatic muscle.

This role is ideally suited for an individual with prior experience in the core mechanisms of an ad server, DSP, or RTB infrastructure, who thrives in a lean, rapidly evolving environment.

You'll take charge of Appstock’s product portfolio and drive how we build, measure, and scale our growth initiatives.

You'll help figure out how our products get prioritized, shipped, measured, and constantly improved.

Expect to work closely with our senior leadership while keeping the day-to-day execution humming and ensuring we're delivering real business impact.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Manager focusing on our core Ad Tech platform, you will:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the vision and execution for our ad-server components and decisioning engine roadmap.
• Monitor market trends to ensure our product maintains a competitive edge in the programmatic advertising space.
• Drive ROI-focused product decisions, defining and rigorously tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes.

Technical Collaboration & Execution:

• Collaborate closely with Engineering on the technical architecture, including RTB logic, OpenRTB endpoints, targeting workflows, pacing, frequency capping, and other critical ad-server functions.
• Develop detailed technical product specifications (PRDs), clearly outlining data requirements and user stories for implementation.
• Partner with backend engineers to continuously evolve our real-time systems, focusing on performance, latency, QPS handling, and fault tolerance.
• Lead DSP-side feature development, including improvements to:
• Bid strategy and optimization
• Auction participation logic
• Budget pacing mechanisms
• Integrations with partner exchanges and SSPs

Analysis & Optimization:

• Perform deep analysis of product performance, tracking key metrics like win rate, CPM, fill rate, QPS, latency, CTR, revenue, and partner performance.
• Conduct hands-on issue investigation, which involves debugging logs, running SQL queries, analyzing partner traffic, and diagnosing workflow failures

Stakeholder Management & Clarity:

• Gather requirements directly from customers and internal teams related to ad delivery, reporting, targeting, inventory quality, and optimization.
• Bring structure, predictability, and visibility to the execution process, ensuring all teams operate with clear objectives and purpose

Requirements

We are seeking an execution-driven and highly technical Product Manager with a strong background in AdTech and performance-based environments. You must possess a strong ownership mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage team.

Core Experience & Skills:

• Experience: 3–5+ years as a Product Manager, specifically within AdTech or performance-driven sectors.
• AdTech Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience and deep familiarity with:
• Ad Servers (decisioning, delivery, creative workflows)
• DSPs (bid logic, budget pacing, partner integrations)
• Programmatic Auctions
• Technical Fluency: A strong ability to discuss and define technical product requirements, including:
• Data models, APIs, and event flows.
• Latency constraints, QPS scaling, and distributed system behavior.
• Comfortable translating complex technical concepts (APIs, data flows) into clear product impact.
• Execution & Ownership:
• Execution-driven, highly organized, structured, and strong at follow-through.
• A proactive, independent ownership mindset, comfortable working across time zones.
• Experience in small/early-stage teams, acting as both a strategic owner and daily executor.
• Data & ROI Focus: Comfortable thinking in numbers and performance metrics (CTR, funnel analysis, ROI).
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively translating and communicating across technical, commercial, and executive groups. Collaborative yet firm, able to prioritize effectively and drive accountability.

Bonus Skills (A Strong Plus):

• Experience with Prebid, server-side bidding, or header-bidding.
• Experience with bidder optimization or machine learning-driven prediction.
