VP, Engineering & GM, Tel Aviv

HUMAN is proud to be expanding our leadership team with a VP of Engineering & GM to lead our Israel office and the Enterprise engineering team in Tel Aviv. This is a mission-critical part of HUMAN’s global engineering organization. You’ll oversee a growing team of 50+ engineers and partner closely with Product, Security, and GTM teams to ship high-impact and high-quality cybersecurity solutions.

As well as being a technical leadership role, you’ll serve as the General Manager of our Israel office, shaping the culture, operations, and global connectivity of the site. You’ll play a key part in shaping how our globally distributed teams work together — bringing alignment, clarity, and cohesion across time zones and functions.

You’ll partner closely with our CEO, CTO, and SVP of Engineering, navigating seamlessly across multiple senior stakeholders while driving both local excellence and global alignment. With deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and AI, and strong operational and commercial presence, you’ll play a pivotal role in building a safer, more human Internet.

This role reports to our SVP & Global Head of Engineering and is based in Tel Aviv.

Responsibilities

Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Lead, grow, and mentor a 50+ person R&D team based in Tel Aviv, covering backend, frontend, data engineering, and more.
• Set high standards for software design, architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Work closely with Product and Research teams to define and deliver on our product roadmap.
• Collaborate with global Engineering peers to drive cohesive execution, system design, and technical decision-making.
• Drive innovation in AI/ML and modern security architectures, ensuring HUMAN remains at the forefront of defending the internet.
  
  

Technical Brand & Thought Leadership

• Contribute to HUMAN’s external technical brand through blogs, conference talks, open-source contributions, or community leadership.
• Be a culture carrier for engineering excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Expand the HUMAN Engineering brand in Israel and globally as a thought leader in cybersecurity and AI.
  
  

People & Culture

• Act as the GM for HUMAN’s Tel Aviv site, overseeing operations, culture, and cross-functional collaboration beyond Engineering.
• Partner directly with our Senior Leadership Team to strengthen connectivity between Israel and our global organization.
• Be a people-first leader: hire top engineering talent, create pathways for growth, and foster a healthy, inclusive culture.
• Represent HUMAN Israel to customers, partners, investors, and the broader tech ecosystem — building pride in our site as a global center of excellence.
  
  

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale, distributed teams
• Proven ability to lead and scale engineering organizations (50+ engineers), ideally within cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or infrastructure
• Deep technical expertise across software development, architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and security
• Proven experience leveraging AI/ML, data analytics, and modern security architectures to drive product and platform innovation
• Strong track record of partnering closely with Product, Research, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Enterprise solutions
• Fluent in both Hebrew and English, with experience operating in a multinational company environment
• Strong people leadership: you’ve built high-performing teams, developed engineering managers, and fostered inclusive, empowering team cultures
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a GM-style role, balancing technical leadership and operational oversight
• Comfort working with and answering to multiple senior stakeholders (CEO, CTO, SVP-level peers).
  
  

Desired Skills

• Established credibility and presence in the Israeli tech ecosystem, with the ability to represent HUMAN externally.
• Familiarity with the cybersecurity market and ecosystem
• Hands-on with current AI productivity tools and a track record of AI tool proliferation
• Experience representing technical teams to investors, board members, or strategic partners
• Contributions to technical brand-building via public speaking, writing, or open-source projects
