Salary and Payments Clerk

We are looking for a Salary and Payments Clerk who will be Responsible implementing all aspects of salary, payments & retirement.

Handling of salaries and payments for foreign and Israeli seafarers on the company's vessels

Main tasks:

Payroll tests & Working routines

• Monthly Payroll calculation
• Payroll tests before closing salary month for Israeli and Foreign crew: payments, tax, funds & pension etc.
• Preparing final account to the vessels according to demand
• Entering payments & deductions for Israeli and foreign seaman
• Customer service regarding all salary issues (to Israeli /foreigner /Captains /agencies)
• Issuing allotment payments on the 20th of each month
• Open & update Israeli/foreign seaman’s bank accounts
• Checking personal saving fund (PSF) to foreign seaman and its payment
• Tracking cash & desecration wages interfaces
• Sending pay slips to vessels

Insurance

• Ongoing communication with insurance agency “Ramon Granit” regarding health and dental insurance issues

Reporting

• Updating Israeli seaman’s positions (non-active)
• Distributing & updating 101 forms in the system
• Assisting on actuary
• Scanning and saving archive material

Requirements:

• Payroll certification a must
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of SAP, Excel, Payroll system- a must
• High level of English (Speaking, reading and writing).
• Good control in Office tools, Excel in particular.
• Certified bookkeeper certification- Type 3 - Advantage
