Process Engineer – FoodTech Startup (3627)

A rapidly growing FoodTech startup is seeking a high-energy, hands-on Process Engineer to play a key role in scaling its innovative technology from lab to pilot, and later to full commercial production.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic R&D team, contribute to the establishment of a new pilot facility, collaborate with global partners, and take real ownership of the process from concept to manufacturing.

What you’ll do

• Participate in the establishment, optimization, and operation of the company’s pilot production line in Rehovot.
• Build and manage global partnerships with CDMOs/CMOs, including hands-on participation in activities abroad.
• Work closely with the company’s R&D scientists, supporting lab experiments and bridging between research and engineering.
• Translate lab-scale protocols into engineering-ready processes for pilot operation.
• Identify, define, and document CPPs and CQAs to ensure product quality and scalability.
• Lead the full technical knowledge-transfer process to manufacturing partners.
• Analyze and interpret internal and external trial results and recommend next-step control strategies.
• Contribute to the setup of future international production facilities as the company grows.

What we’re looking for

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the food industry or a food-tech startup.
• Hands-on experience in scale-up or industrial process environments.
• Proven success in taking processes from lab to pilot/industrial stages.
• Willingness to travel abroad.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with lab and R&D teams.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• A dynamic, flexible, sleeves-rolled-up mindset — someone who enjoys both creative problem-solving and hands-on technical work when needed.
• Advantage: Experience with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, or food-grade production environments.
