Real-Time Software Developer – Trading Communications (API) Unit

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) is the central platform of Israel’s capital market, enabling trading in equities, bonds, ETFs, derivatives, and more. TASE leads significant technological and financial innovation and provides critical infrastructure to the Israeli economy.

We are seeking an experienced Real-Time Software Developer to join the Trading Communications (API) Unit within the Trading & BO Division. The role focuses on developing and maintaining high-performance communication and system-management applications that serve as core components of TASE’s real-time trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end development of communication and system-management applications, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Design and execute comprehensive system testing, including test plans, functional tests, load tests, and performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams regarding communication servers and application-level management, including handling operational tasks and troubleshooting.
• Provide real-time support for communication applications, resolve production issues, and ensure continuous system stability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and evening shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or graduate of an elite technological unit.
• Expertise in developing high-performance asynchronous communication systems (TCP & Multicast), including low-latency and high-throughput architectures.
• Hands-on programming experience in C++, Java, and Python.
• Experience in Web development (client and server side) – an advantage.
• Experience with the FIX protocol – an advantage.
• Experience integrating AI tools into software development – an advantage.
• Familiarity with trading systems or financial platforms – an advantage.
• Strong system-wide perspective and analytical thinking.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and learn independently.
