Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will lead the technological aspect of software integration within the company and serve as the primary technical point of contact between internal engineering teams and external development partners.

This is an independent and challenging role with direct impact- involving responsibility for ensuring seamless integration between firmware and the Linux application layer, alongside hands-on development in embedded systems.

What You'll Do:

• Act as the primary technical liaison for outsourcing providers, managing the flow of requirements, code, and feedback for firmware and Linux application-layer development.
• Hands-On Development: Be prepared to dive into the existing code (C, C++ for firmware; C#, Python for applications/scripts) to understand, refactor, and improve it.
• Develop and maintain internal software tools and scripts (using Python) to support testing, automation, and integration pipelines.
• Apply basic Linux administration skills to build, configure, and maintain development and testing environments.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and QA teams to ensure system-level functionality and performance.
• Debug complex issues spanning the firmware, OS, and application layers.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for interfaces, processes, and systems.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience- Must
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience- Must
• Proven proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems development- Must
• Strong experience in at least one of the following: C# or Python for application or scripting tasks- Must
• Basic Linux administration knowledge: comfortable with the command line, shell scripting, package management, and system configuration- Must
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, version control (Git), and debugging techniques- Must
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) concepts and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, data warehousing) for data analysis and reporting- Advantage
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services (IoT Core, EC2, etc.)- Advantage
• Hands-on experience with FreeRTOS or another Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)- Advantage
• Knowledge of embedded protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) and hardware/software interfacing- Advantage
