This is not a conventional product management position centered on feedback cycles or incremental feature releases. This is an executive-level technical product ownership role, where you will control the architecture, technical direction, and AI integration of our complete learning ecosystem. You'll make the difficult technical trade-offs necessary to keep our products efficient, scalable, and laser-focused on advancing student results. You will operate with the mindset of a CTO while maintaining the velocity of a product entrepreneur, fusing engineering discipline with learning science principles to continuously unlock breakthroughs.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building and applying comprehensive education product knowledge to inform strategic choices
• Crafting technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, performance, and sustainable design
• Deploying generative AI solutions to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the organizational goal of minimizing manual effort

• Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, controlling core technical capabilities and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Deep experience or interest in data-driven learning science
• 7+ years of experience making the important architecture and design decisions on software projects, such as the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies
• 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
• 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product
• Experience building product features that make advanced use of Generative AI
• Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
