Purpose of the position: As Electrical Engineering for Offshore Plant Design within Saipem ABSER Offshore Division, we are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Offshore Oil & Gas department

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

At Saipem we pride ourselves on delivering Offshore Electrical plants investing in conventional and to renewable applications. Over the last years we have followed worldwide Offshore Electrical Plant requirements in Offshore Plant application for the execution of detail design.

As a result, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer who can add real value to the Offshore Engineering Department and help us achieve our goal of becoming the most technically advanced plant development for market requirements in design development and EPC material management.

What are we looking for?

The Electrical Specialist will deal with the following activities:

Working as electrical designer to develop LV design plant, Lighting Design, routing and termination.

Capability to carry out a preliminary/pre-design sizing of electrical power cables.

Knowledge of electrical equipment of main HV/LV supplier (Mainly Low Voltage)

Partnering with LV Products such as Cables, Junction Boxes, EE-x-d Material and Lighting Bulk material.

Developing LV distribution routing layout and supports.

Supervising LV technical documentation with regards to quality and time schedule issuing as per projects' needs.

Supporting Electrical LV business development and product by following line management performing cost-benefit analysis where applicable.

Education

Bechelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or High School Diploma in Electrical Design

Experience

5 years (minimum) experience working directly with Low Voltage equipment and sub distribution network.

Be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of LV distribution systems, cables and bulk materials.Mainly Low Voltage distribution experience in electrical system plant and projects, with regards to electrical distribution and sub-distribution networkEnsure electrical engineering design is maintained to current European and International standards a+nd regulatory requirements are maintained and adhered to LV network development, upgrades and modernization for Offshore application

To promote routing layout development for ensuring safety and best practice application where procedures are well followed

Flexibility, adaptability and dynamism, teamwork capabilities

Work in multinational teams located in different office locations

Good oral and written communications skills in English

Languages: Mother Language (Italian) and English good level

Technical Skills/Software:

Proficiency in MS Office programs (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Basic Knowledge of main electrical tool (e.g. Etap, Dig-silent, DIALux or equivalent)
