What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the technical lead for a new strategic product, setting a high bar for engineering excellence, architecture, and code quality.
• Drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-availability payment services and infrastructure.
• Take ownership of key backend components, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with long-term platform goals.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Data, and additional stakeholders to define requirements, plan delivery, and ensure successful execution.
• Lead end-to-end product development efforts—from early design through production rollout—while upholding best practices in reliability, performance, and security.
• Contribute hands-on to coding, system design, troubleshooting, and deep-dive problem-solving.
• Build systems with future scalability, extensibility, and compliance in mind.
• Influence engineering standards, documentation, and development workflows across the team and wider organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer with strong ownership over complex systems and architectures.
• Hands-on background in building and scaling payments or fintech systems- Must!!
• Strong platform engineering expertise, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and versioned APIs.
• Deep understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory considerations in fintech/payments.
• Demonstrated success taking products from 0 → 1 in fast-paced environments.
• Backend-focused, with working familiarity with modern frontend frameworks.
• Exceptional system design and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, hands-on mindset.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
