The Equipment Engineer serves as the technical focal point for specifying, selecting, and supporting mechanical and process equipment in engineering projects. The role includes both office and site technical support throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify project and client needs, prepare technical specifications and datasheets.
- Prepare technical documents (Spec, reports, SOW etc) to support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
- Prepare RFQs and conduct technical evaluations of supplier proposals.
- Coordinate and consolidate supplier technical documentation, including review and approval.
- Participate in factory and site acceptance tests, support installation, commissioning, and equipment testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, quality, suppliers.
- Maintain full ownership of equipment/package status throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in process or energy industries.
- Experience in specifying, selecting, and testing rotating equipment, static equipment, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, DIN, etc.).
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation in English.
- Willingness to travel abroad.
- Team player, self-motivated, with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
