New Product Introduction Engineer

Responsible for documenting and maintaining assembly, testing, and packaging instructions for assemblies manufactured by external suppliers.

The role involves close collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement, ensuring accurate manufacturing documentation, IP protection, and production flexibility across suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead documentation activities for NPI and Serial Production (SPI) assemblies
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in Applied’s standard format, up to configuration freeze
• Review BOMs and mechanical drawings; identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Observe supplier manufacturing processes and update instructions accordingly
• Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, quality, and cost
• Support configuration control and supplier implementation as required

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in NPI / Manufacturing Engineering / Integration – mandatory
• Practical Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer with drawing training
• Proven experience writing assembly instructions / SOPs
• Strong ability to read and review mechanical drawings
• Experience with complex mechanical or electromechanical assemblies
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional interfaces
• Experience with PLM / ERP systems (Teamcenter)
• CAD knowledge – an advantage
