Phibro Israel is seeking a highly motivated R&D Student to join our Research & Development Department at the Beit Shemesh site.
As an intern, you will be an integral part of the R&D team, participating in multiple research projects and gaining hands-on experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, and vaccine development. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of biological products and production processes, while acquiring valuable industrial laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental research related to optimization of existing products and development of new ones.
- Support product and process development initiatives.
- Perform laboratory experiments, analyze results, and present conclusions to assist in project decision-making.
- Participate in ongoing research projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Collect, organize, and analyze laboratory data; prepare scientific summaries and reports; document results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
- Present experimental findings to the R&D team and department members.
- Assist in studies involving fermenters, bioreactors, viral propagation in eggs and cell cultures, PCR/qPCR assays, and process validation activities.
Requirements:
- Third-year B.Sc. students in Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Science, or Agriculture, who plan to continue to an M.Sc. – required.
- Strong academic record: high honors students preferred.
- Background in Molecular Biology – significant advantage.
- Previous hands-on experience in a wet lab – an advantage.
- Part-time position with flexible working hours.
