Assistant Controller

Smart Shooter - a Defense-tech company developing and manufacturing revolutionary electro-optical fire control systems, is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing finance team.

In this role, you will support financial reporting, analysis, and operational accounting processes. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure accurate reporting and effective financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Preparing quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Responsible for subsidiaries payroll and VAT process.
• Review and monitor Revenue Recognition.
• Review, monitor, and analyse Inventory levels.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Liaise with external auditors, prepare supporting documentation, and respond to audit inquiries to ensure timely completion.
• Working with abroad tax consultant.
• Support the preparation of the company’s annual tax forms.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control across financial operations.
• Act as a finance partner to other departments (R&D, Sales & Marketing, Corporate), participating in cross-functional projects and supporting financial insights.
• Provide professional guidance and assistance to the Bookkeeping team.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to accounting and finance-related initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• CPA certification - A must.
• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Controller or in the professional practice department of a Big 4 accounting firm (Hi-Tech department preferred).
• Experience with the Audit of public and פrivate companies.
• Experience working in a global environment - an advantage
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong sense of ownership, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with Priority, AI tools, and BI tools - an advantage.
