🌟 Laboratory Manager – Microbiology (3557)🌟

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead the microbiology lab operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing a professional team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the laboratory team, including recruitment, training, qualification, and mentoring
• Define, implement, and monitor work processes, SOPs, and laboratory protocols
• Provide professional expertise and technical support to both internal teams and clients
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders (suppliers, regulators, customers)
• Ensure projects are delivered on time while meeting quality standards
• Implement and oversee quality management systems, including ISO standards
• Plan and manage laboratory budget, operations, and maintenance
• Prepare and lead audits and inspections (suppliers, customers, regulators)
• Develop and validate new methods, as well as improve existing workflows
• Author technical protocols and reports

Requirements

• MSc or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Biotechnology
• Hands-on experience in microbiological testing of food
• Minimum 2 years proven experience managing staff in an industry laboratory (not academia) – required
• Strong background in lab operations, workflows, and regulatory standards
• Experience with ISO or other quality/regulatory frameworks – advantage
• Proven ability to write and implement SOPs, protocols, and reports
• Method development experience in microbiology
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• High-level interpersonal communication, service orientation, and professionalism
• Full proficiency in English and MS Office
