Backend Data Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Data Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance data infrastructure. This person will play a key role in managing massive data ingestion pipelines, supporting analytics and product teams, and ensuring the company’s backend systems are robust and scalable.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and scale data ingestion pipelines handling hundreds of GBs of data daily
• Develop and maintain reliable data analysis and export systems
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Optimize data systems for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Own and drive projects from design to deployment
• Implement best practices in data governance and quality assurance

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
• Strong proficiency with GCP, Kubernetes, Python, Kafka, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch
• Deep understanding of distributed computing concepts and backend fundamentals
• Experience building and scaling data pipelines and data warehouses
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for large-scale systems
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience in the security or networking domain is a plus
• High ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
