Director of Quality & R&D Operations

We're looking for a Director of Quality & R&D Operations to lead and scale the teams that ensure our products are not only innovative but rock-solid.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how quality, release management, and operational excellence come together across Nanit's end-to-end experience - from camera firmware and mobile apps to cloud services and AI insights.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Nanit's Quality and R&D Operations teams, including Manual QA, Automation QA, Release Management, and R&D Operations
• Define and drive Nanit's testing and quality strategy across mobile, cloud, and firmware - ensuring every release meets the highest standards
• Build and scale automation frameworks that power continuous testing and improve release velocity
• Own and evolve our release process - from app store rollouts to firmware updates - ensuring stability, traceability, and confidence
• Establish R&D operational excellence: metrics, dashboards, and processes that make delivery faster, more predictable, and more efficient
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and AI leadership to align on priorities and raise the bar for quality and execution
• Partnering with Customer Success to identify trends and issues, and drive solutions that will increase overall user quality and satisfaction
• Build, mentor, and grow a world-class team that thrives on collaboration, ownership, and impact
  
  

• 10+ years of experience in QA, Release, or R&D Operations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record leading cross-domain quality efforts - mobile, firmware, backend, and cloud - ideally in a consumer or IoT product company
• Deep understanding of modern QA practices, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and release management
• Strong operational and analytical mindset - you know how to measure what matters and use data to drive change
• A strong advocate for leveraging AI and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity across R&D and Quality processes
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; you build bridges across teams and geographies, partnering effectively with Customer Success and product to identify trends, address issues, and enhance overall user quality and satisfaction
