ATE Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile ATE Engineer with a strong background in hardware, firmware, software, and test engineering.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy Automatic Test Stations (ATE) and Final Test Stations (FTS) for multiple products on our manufacturing floor.

This role reports directly to the Director of Hardware and plays a central role in our HW team.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️Plan, design, and implement automatic test stations (ATE) and final test stations (FTS) for board-level, system-level, and production-level verification.

✔️Define, design, and develop HW, FW, and SW for test systems in collaboration with hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers.

✔️Take full ownership of the tester hardware and software board design cycle:

✔️Create schematics

✔️Coordinate PCB layout and housing design

✔️Perform bring-up testing

✔️Integrate measurement instruments such as current/voltage meters, RF analyzers, RF matrix, analog switches, oscilloscopes, and programmable loads.

✔️Integrate and control peripheral devices (barcode readers, pneumatic mechanisms, and fixture components) to automate testing processes.

✔️Create HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) documentation for test systems.

✔️Define and manage software requirements and lead board qualification.

✔️Perform Gage R&R testing to validate station accuracy and repeatability.

✔️Deliver stable, production-ready test stations to manufacturing:

✔️Provide production files and detailed documentation

✔️Manage source control for all station software and related assets.

Requirements:

✔️B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

✔️Proven experience in test automation software development (C#, LabVIEW, Python, or similar).

✔️Experience with source control systems such as Git or SVN.

✔️Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management from concept to release.

✔️Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a system-level mindset.

✔️Hands-on, proactive, and collaborative approach.
